It's about time we put Holland out of his misery. Yarmolenko can fuck off too.

Re: Team for Arsenal
Yarmolenko and Masuaku both played for the U23s tonight in a 3 - 1 win over Leicester. Nathan Holland also came off the bench for his first game since injury. Interesting to see if any of them are on the bench on Sunday.

Re: Team for Arsenal
We have been so solid for so long with just the odd defeat here and there that the 2 losses to Manc sides in the last 3 games somehow feels almost like we are at another of those "are the wheels about to come off" moments? Throw in what was, in most fans view, not a very convincing win against Leeds and we will find out the answer to the question against Arsenal a team, who like the North West clubs, tend to roll us over most seasons.

I do think the injury to Ogbonna is beginning to have an impact. Diop has been doing ok but we do not seem or look as solid or maybe its just a confirmed bias thing? Dunno? Ogbonna was a "rock" especially in physical challenges and aerially. Him and Dawson were a bit of "wall" whereas with Diop we look vulnerable again especially in a 4 at the back formation.

But we have to go with 4 to get some attacking impetus at home. We will have Lingard back and the only other absentee that may impact is Fornals. He can sometimes appear to be on the edges but his closing down and endless running was missed last game. Benrahma does do some of that too as does Bowen but I would get 4Nails to start if possible and if fully fit. Benrahma or Bowen otherwise ( in that order ) and one at least to come on after 60 mins if they starrt on the bench. We also have Johnson who can do a shift. What is clear beyond doubt now is that old man Nobes should never be a starter and mostly stay on the bench, only to be brought in to close up shop or relieve tired legs late if needs be and no one else available.

Iornskej, I also thought Lanzini played much better against ManU I was unsure to put him or Benrahma, but in the end went for Benrahma.

Lanzini looked much better at keeping the ball the other day compared to Noble. My team would be:

------------------------------Fabs
Vlad the Impaler - Daws - Diop - Cresswell
------------------------Rice - Soucek
--------------Bowen - Lanzini - Pablo Fornals
----------------------------Antonio

Re: Team for Arsenal
Mex - agree with both your team and your comments. If Moyes genuinely believes we have a chance for a top 4 (or even top 6) position we should not be setting out with a defensive side looking to hold out for 90 minutes and hoping for a lucky break. We are better than that and hopefully will demonstrate as much over the remaining fixtures.

You fuckng cunt Toady
Ruined my favourite thread. Of all the things Moyes has done that team selection has pissed me off the most. I know at times I am a little deluded, but I really thought we would set up similar to Man City or Leeds and equal ManU in shots on goal and win or at least draw. But we tried BFS fucking tactics. So so sad about that. I now find it difficult to see us beating the others around us, Leicester, Chelsea. We can only do that if we set up to attack as we have been most of the season.

When I supported Noble getting another year it was more to spare us the embarrassment of having just 8 subs week in week out rather than him actually playing.

Re: Team for Arsenal
I think Exile's team looks to be close to the one, the only debate being Benrahma or Bowen - both have been disappointing of late but both work hard and have it in them to do better. We might benefit from Bowen's hustle rather then Benrahma's twinkle toes starting this game.

Moyes will surely add another defender to the Manc U side to preserve that point. The ginger cunt.
